The band consists of four members and the following instruments: drums, bass, acoustic guitar and electric / synth guitar. The synth guitar allows us to replicate a range of other instruments (piano, brass, strings, banjo, accordian, etc), which is how we are able to cover varied styles of music such as country, rock, trad and pop.
All four members of the band share vocal duty and at different times while one member takes lead vocal in a song, the others provide backing vocals and layered harmonies.
Meet The Band
After years of playing, we’ve learned a thing or two about rocking a crowd. Collectively, we’ve all racked up over two decades of gigging, played well over a thousand gigs as a band and between us we’ve gigged across Europe, the Far East, and North America. Along the way, some of us have appeared on primetime TV and performed for heads of state and other famous people (who shall remain nameless, for now). We’ve played every type of gig imaginable, from massive corporate events to intimate pub shows, and we pride ourselves on knowing every single wedding venue and how to get any crowd on their feet. We’ve seen it all, and we’re ready to bring the party to your wedding.
Shane
Guitar
Our frontman, Shane, is a man of many talents and even more baseball hats. He’s got a set of pipes that can tackle anything from a rock anthem to a tender ballad, a skill he’s been honing since his early days when he appeared as a contestant on RTÉ’s version of the X Factor, You’re A Star. (Yes, the YouTube clips still exist!)
After his brush with fame, he dived into the country and western scene, even starting his own band. But like many before him, he knew the game had changed when he discovered Ed Sheeran and a loop pedal. He went solo for the next few years, performing in the pubs and bars across Ireland. He still plays solo gigs, but when he’s with the band, he has one main priority at wedding gigs: being the first to the sausages and sandwiches at the half-time tea break.
Glen
Lead guitar
Our lead guitarist, Glen, is a man who knows his way around a distortion pedal and a whammy bar. Thanks to a childhood spent watching Back to the Future on continuous loop, his interest in guitar sparked the moment he saw Marty McFly shred the solo to “Johnny Be Goode.” His very first gig saw him blow his amp and melt the fuse board in his local school. But since then he’s gigged consistently in pubs, clubs and function rooms all over Ireland without tripping a fuse. A fan of 80s hair bands like Van Halen & Guns N’ Roses and 90s indie bands like Oasis, basically if a song has a guitar solo in it he’s down to play it.
Most likely in the group to be overheard at some point in the night saying “Do you know what this song needs… another guitar solo.”
Ronan
Bass
The low-end maestro of the band, Ronan, is a man of few words but his bass lines speak volumes. He’s been laying down grooves since he was 15, cutting his teeth in various cover bands where he mastered the art of holding it all together. When he’s not on stage, you’ll find him enjoying the simple things: a windy autumn walk with his beloved dog, and cruising around town in his meticulously clean BMW. As the quietest member of the group, Ronan may not seek the spotlight, but he’s a true fan favourite—especially with the older ladies, who appreciate a gentleman with a solid rhythm section!
Ger
Drums
Our man on the drums, Ger, started his rhythmic journey at a young age, much to the dismay of his parents who quickly realised their kitchenware was less for cooking and more for a one-man percussion spectacle. Thankfully for their saucepans, his dedication led him to more formal training with a London-based school, where he aced his drumming grades. He’s since brought his unique beat across the globe, including a memorable tour of Japan with an Irish fusion group – a truly wild combination, much like his musical taste. A true pop-punk at heart, Ger’s favourite bands include the likes of Blink-182 and The Offspring, but don’t be surprised if you catch him warming up to a bit of Taylor Swift —he’s not ashamed to admit his love for a pop song with a good beat.
